We have some exciting news now for those of you that are waiting for the much-anticipated Call of Juarez: The Cartel game — which as previously mentioned (here) is now set in modern day — to be released, as a few more details and a trailer have now been unveiled.
As Steven Williamson over at gaming.hexus.net recently reported, Call of Juarez: The Cartel is still classed as a western shooter game, but one that starts its story off with a drug cartel bombing a U.S law enforcement agency and killing hundreds of people in the process.
The United States then creates a special task force, whose mission is to hunt down and stop the drug cartel. The three members of the special task force are DEA agent Eddie Guerra, brutal LAPD detective Ben McCall and Kim Evans, a gang-affiliated street kid who’s now an FBI agent.
Call of Juarez: The Cartel features a three-player online co-op mode, which will enable gamers to play together as a team and take on the roles of the game’s 3 main characters. You can also play the game individually with each member, who will all have their own separate story and ending.
A huge selection of weapons has been promised for the Call of Juarez: The Cartel game including sniper rifles, machine guns and pistols. The game, which may well be banned in Mexico, also provides gamers with a wide variety of missions such as car chases, witness protection and undercover.
The game is due for release sometime this summer, and will be available for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. You can view the trailer below this post. What do you think of the Call of Juarez: The Cartel game?
